Kiskissing Wholesale Baby Pajamas with Scratch Protection

Chatter, rattles, rattles ... this noise will soon be heard in our tailor shop in Peru, when after a months-long development phase, the sewing machines finally start to glow. Today, there is a look behind the scenes, in the test phase that goes through each of our products before it goes into production.

Anyone can produce quickly, but only a few take time

With enough capital, a corresponding staff and textile factories that close the doors at any time, can be quickly stomp a new collection from the ground. Trends are copied from the catwalks, raw materials and workers are not lacking. In humans, the products are tested in the least cases, but it lacks time and time known to cost money. Now and then, yes, there comes a rompers or a body in the lab and is checked for its sanitary safety. With luck, he may then be adorned with a hangtag bearing the imprint "Textile Trust". These tests are good and important, but are done only sporadically and say nothing about the health safety for the producers or the comfort of the clothing.

Kiskissing can not afford the expensive lab tests because we work without bank loans and without investors. Our staff is also surveyable. And in our Peruvian tailor shop, the light goes out at a certain time. But what we have in contrast to the textile giants is time; Time not in the sense that we have more than hours per day than others, but rather time that we take to develop really good products. Sure, Kiskissing knows that currently a long-term customer loyalty is not possible, but we have too few clothing sizes in the assortment. This is unfortunate, because loyal customers must forcibly look around for alternative labels when baby's tummy bursts our biggest body. But Kiskissing has to live with that, if we are looking for a sustainable.

But enough of the many words. I had promised you that today you will get exclusive insights into our test runs. With the example of wholesale baby pajamas with scratch protection I show you the challenges of product development. A big thank you at this point to our loyal customer Verena, who has taken a lot of time to test in recent months. Her magical little son Leif was allowed to photograph samples, Pattern 1, Pattern 2 and Pattern 3, while Mama diligently documented, photographed and suggested improvements to us. Together we have managed to develop a favorite piece for Baby's First Wardrobe and I am sure you will love the pajamas as much as we already do.

The design | What makes Kiskissing's wholesale baby pajamas with scratch protection unique

How should he be, our new pajamas, which will be available until size 92? Comfortable, practical and silky soft. So far as nothing unusual, there is already enough on the market, right?

Of course, there are already countless beautiful rompers and pajamas, which we do not even question. But in our quality you will have a hard time;). Because you will not find colorful pajamas made from bio-certified Pima cotton, at least not in our latitudes. Apart from the quality of the cotton, we have tried to develop a comfortable design, which is also wonderfully suitable for skin-sensitive babies.

The specials at a glance:

further slip-on collar for a comfortable dressing and undressing without tunnel vision

discreetly integrated buttons in the shoulder area for a perfect fit

Envelope cuffs on hands and feet (up to size 80) as scratch and heat protection; the cuffs are designed to allow the baby to grow with the baby

Press buttons in the diaper area (easy diaper change)

cute water-based imprints (no plastic, natural look)

Before I go into detail, a quick reference. The wholesale baby pajamas in the pictures show patterns made from fabrics taken from our producers' warehouse. The colors in the production will vary and we just keep our specially designed imprints like a treasure. After all, we do not want to take away all the magic in advance 😉

The fit

[The green pajamas] is narrower and sits a little too close to the trunk (pictures are freshly changed and thus thinnest possible diaper), so could be a bit longer. However, the arms and legs are great (also thanks to the nice, tight cuffs that keep the sleep in place). - Verena

On the two pictures you can see two of our pattern developments, the yellow pajamas being the older model. Although Leif seems to be comfortable in the rompers, it is easy to see that the fit here is generally too slippery and exposing the chest area. It must be mentioned that the photo was taken after the romper was already in use for several weeks and each cotton garment with the use of a little gives. The green romper sits tight, because Verena's son has made such a growth spurt in a few weeks, that we have made our third pattern layered too small. Regardless of that, Kiskissing will once again adjust our measurement chart, as Verena recommends.

The poor

[The green pajama] has the perfect arm length, the cuffs are great and keep the Schlafi where it should be and prevent the rumbling at night, the entire sleeve wanders over the hands. However, I could not fold the cuff over Leif's arms. The seams are super nice and smooth. I also like that the fabric at the cuffs is double. - Verena

Small babies often have cold hands. And newborns have long fingernails that they often scratch while asleep, especially if they are prone to hypersensitive or neurodermitic skin. The soft cover cuffs are therefore intended as thermal and scratch protection. However, we also have to improve again here as far as the length of the cuffs is concerned.

The legs

Here's the same: I'm a big fan of the beautiful and firm and slightly longer cuffs in the [green romper]. In the [yellow pajamas] it all slacks significantly more, which, I believe, is not necessarily due to wear. Crawling is much better with the tight cuffs. And I believe that the Schlafi is not only worn at night, but is also used during the day as a romper. That's always the case with us. - Verena

How hard it is to develop a fit that fits every baby. Leif is rather big for his young age, our Miguel was one of the smaller babies. We try to find a mediocrity that is just fine, just shorter, depending on the development of the baby.

The bottom of the pants

Here is the [green Romper] significantly less gap between the buttons. I also like the buttons in the brown hem. In general I like the wider hem [in the revised model] a lot. I like it better than the [yellow onesie] . - Verena

On the advice of Verena, we had reduced the distances between the snaps, so that the baby is better protected from drafts. What is clearly visible on the pictures is that there is still too much tension in the diaper area. Therefore, we will increase the use of fabric, which provides space around the Popo, so thin and thick Windelpopos have equally room in it.

The slip collar

The biggest plus in the [green romper]: the buttons on the slip collar close around Leif's neck. And does not release half the chest, as in the [previous model]. The buttons on the clavicle really are really great and make [the green onesie] feel twice as warm as [the yellow onesie]. I'm always cold myself when I see only exposed baby necks ... This is especially noticeable when crawling on. - Verena

We love the American neckline, also called slip collar. Because there is nothing worse than a piece of clothing that has to be pulled over the little head with force. For babies it is a terrible feeling, if they lose the panoramic view for a short time and the material rubs on the tender skin. No wonder, therefore, that putting on and changing is often associated with tears.

Thanks to wrap look and slip collar has never flowed a single tear in the whole 3 years. On the contrary, Miguel loves to put on his shirts himself. However, hatchbacks often have a small hook. If they stretch too much, they will chatter around the chest and expose the bare skin. Verena brought us a great idea. Why not just attach two small press studs to the shoulders for a better fit? Said and done. Our wholesale baby pajamas with scratch protection will get an optimized slip collar, which allows comfortable dressing and undressing and remains dimensionally stable even after frequent use.

Yes, so we have developed in collaboration with an experienced mom over several weeks a pajamas that meets our high standards and that we can give with a clear conscience in production.
